The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of ABC Transport Company, Mr. Frank Nneji has said that the company came into existence in 1993 to provide better transport services and logistics to its customers.
He stated this during the 25years anniversary of the company held at Mega 1 Event Center, Owerri, Imo State, last Saturday. Nneji noted that ABC has over the years positioned itself as the best transport and logistics delivery company providing services that are equal to none, adding that the company has found itself in the stock exchange market. He posited that ABC operates in 35 locations, travels to more than 100 locations within and outside Nigeria. He revealed that ABC Transport has about 500 vehicles in its fleet, especially that it has 3 subsidiaries, 2000 staff that provide services to the modern form of transportation.
Nneji hinted that the company has consolidated cargo and haulage services, hospitality and tourism, stressing that it has expanded to west Africa.
In its social responsibility, ABC Transport has provided employment to Nigeria citizenry, built Community Primary School, Uratta, sponsored automobile department of Trade College, Owerri, Ahiara Technical College, Mbaise and donation of automobile engines, among others.
The company has also donated buses for technical teaching in mechanical engineering department of IMSU, UNN and LASU, it has also provided about 12 scholarship to students in its scheme, revived ANAMMCO, Enugu.
In his goodwill message, Prof. Maurice Iwu rather extolled Frank Nneji for his doggedness and stability which has brought sanity to the transport system, adding that if every other sector operates like ABC, the economy will wear a revived look. He urged him not to relent in furthering the modernize transport system.
The former VC of IMSU, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie noted that the continued retention of its corporate headquarters in Owerri has greatly impacted on the people in terms of jobs, contracts, entrepreneurial modelling and enhancement of IGR of the Imo State.
